DP-Experiment Outline

excellent questions, cassie. i assume you will try to answer all or most of these by the end, but right now the most interesting ones to me are about the multiple layers of info and how does rendering affect logos vs pathos.

to my thinking, it's a bit hard to control how someone will respond to your message (will they be emotionally moved by some stastic?), but you can certainly push things in one direction vs another. i think crazier stats can probably have an emotional appeal, like the way you showed the water usage in the more recent post. when you show it in that manner, even though it's just with dots (very logical and dry rendering style), the sheer volume of that info causes an emotional response in me.
